Jim Search is a comedian, writer, human being, and director.

He was a semi-finalist in NBC’s Stand Up For Diversity. Also, he appeared in the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Hoboken Comedy Festival, and the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX

Search co-hosts the podcast Swatches And Boomboxes with Neil Charles. He also hosts his own show Open Bar Talk With Jim Search, both available on iTunes and Stitcher.

In 2019, he wrote the book Grad School: A $70,000 Phone Charger, an autobiographical account of his debt-ridden adventures in graduate school. The book was released independently and sold over 1,000 copies to date.

Jim released his debut comedy album Upstate Understandings in 2022. It chronicles his life from growing up in Upstate New York and time spent running around New York City. Going against the grain of most by taking the independent route, it is available both in physical copy and on Bandcamp.

He wrote and directed the play Jessie The Catfish: A Comedy, which has been performed across New York City.

Also, he co-hosts a monthly stand-up show with Veronica Garza, Muddy Waters Comedy Show in Brooklyn. Jim also hosts a hip-hop trivia show Trivmatic located at Bierwax.
